only thing that matter when you are choosing the best charter company
to hire a sailboat, yacht or a gullet? Do charter agencies have
better prices then owner of the yacht?
Charter price is definitely the issue when you are choosing best boat
for you. It does matter how much does it cost. When you decide what
you want you try to get best deal for your money. If the boat is
overpriced you would probably not take the boat or you will try to
find someone that can offer similar boat for better price.
Nowadays service is getting more and more important. Not just service
but the whole experience when you are renting out charter yacht. How
you will get the offer and how will the charter company threat you
during the process. And if you did not like something how will this
comment be accepted or rejected. While charter company make
everything that you will enjoy on your boat trip. And at the end will
they ask customer how good it was threaten.
Beside price and data on the paper, how good is the boat maintain.
There are boats that are completely new, old only 3-4 years but are
not well maintained and have problems with some parts. And on the
other part you have sailboats that are more then 10 years old and are
maintained with care. So it depends on the charter company how good
boat you can get.
How come charter agencies have better prices then owner of yachts?
Actually this is pretty logical. Owner set the price for yacht and
provision for agency. Owner rarely gets lower then this price so when
agency lowers the price for client, client gets better price then at
the owner.
To sum up: do not decide only on the price tag, of course the price
is also important, but it is not everything. Be careful on service
and maintenance of the yacht. Check the prices also by the agency and
the owner. However do not put too much effort into research, rather
enjoy your vacation.
